Our Mission

In our mission to promote both personal and community health, we bring our philosophy of refined simplicity to the kitchen. Although we aim for simplicity in our recipes allowing ingredients to express their own characteristics, our soups reflect both the traditional and the worldly. Many commercially prepared soups rely on artificial flavorings and bouillon-prepared stocks to mask the use of low-quality ingredients. All of our stocks are made from scratch with organically grown local produce, ensuring a low-sodium, preservative-free, nutritious soup. Simple enough.

Who We Are

Ladles is a two man operation, envisioned, built and run by chef/owners Adam and Julian. Although we were born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a post college bike tour led us through the beautiful state of Oregon nearly three years ago. Impressed with Portland’s socially progressive lifestyle, we knew it would be a prime location for Ladles to take root. From the start, Ladles has been a small business with big aspirations.
